Official media reports said the various groups of the PLA and PAP began training exercises and displayed various newly installed weapons "to launch an upsurge of actual combat military training". According to the Chinese Media Observer network, the brigade's new type of box-type rocket launcher is a modular rocket launcher, which can carry a 300mm rocket launcher module, 370mm rocket launcher module or 750mm ballistic missile module. It has strong manoeuvrability, high strike accuracy, strong firepower, high degree of information, simple operation, etc. Tang Qizhong, Chief Designer of this rocket launcher, disclosed in an interview that the new box-type rocket launcher can have a range of up to 300 kilometres and its strike accuracy is very accurate. The report added that, in future, the Tibet Military Region, the 72nd Group Army and the Xinjiang Military Region will also install the same box-type rocket launchers.
