Michelle Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping met at the Diaoyutai Guest House in Beijing on March 21, the first day of Michelle Obama and her daughters' visit to China.The meeting was not on the agenda. During the meeting, which was reported by the White House in a communique, Xi Jinping referred to his meeting with US President Obama last June and said: " I look forward to meeting with him again at the Nuclear Security Summit to be held in the Hague in a couple of days’ time, and I also look forward to receiving him in China in November when he visits China and attends the APEC Economic Leaders meeting.  I also hope very much that you will be traveling with him at that time".   Interestingly, Jeff Bader, former National Security Council (NSC) official who is currentlly with the Brookings Institution, was present. Also, Xi Jinping's daughter was not present.
