CHINA-INDIA: WMCC ON INDIA-CHINA BORDER AFFAIRS MEETING ON MARCH 12 AGREES TO ANOTHER MEETING OF ARMY COMMANDERS

According to the 21st Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) on China-India Border Affairs held on March 12, China and India agreed to hold another round of commander-level talks as soon as possible to further ease the situation on the ground and jointly safeguard the hard-won peace and stability in the border areas. Global Times (March 12) said the two sides spoke highly of the results of the disengagement between the frontline troops of the two countries in region around Pangong Tso Lake area and they had a candid and in-depth exchange of views on promoting the settlement of other issues in border area.
