The state-owned CCTV (April 25) reported that PBSC member and Vice Premier Han Zheng was on an inspection tour of Guangzhou, Shantou, and Chaozhou, Guangdong from April 23 to 25. During the inspection, Han Zheng emphasised that it is necessary to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, unswervingly deepen reform and opening up, and unswervingly promote high-quality development. In addition to visiting other places, Han Zheng inspected the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base, and the Hong Kong and Macao Youth Home in Tianhe District, Guangzhou City. He also visited the Guangzhou Laboratory of Guangzhou International Biological Island to learn more about the laboratory's preparations and the development of scientific research in the field of respiratory diseases. Han Zheng fully affirmed the achievements of the laboratory and encouraged them to actively explore the innovation of the scientific and technological system and make greater contributions to protecting the health of the people. In Guangzhou Han Zheng emphasised that it is necessary to increase the supply of public rental housing, encourage local governments to explore better experiences, and make great efforts to solve the outstanding problems of housing in big cities. Han Zheng also visited the former site of Shantou Jiaotong Middle Station on the secret transportation line between the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Central Soviet Area to learn about the red history and revolutionary culture protection. He said it is necessary to vigorously carry forward the Red tradition and inherit the Red Gene, combine the study and education of party history with solving practical problems, and effectively solve problems for the masses.
