Xinhua (May 28, 29) reported that Chinese President Xi Jinping inaugurated the opening of the Tenth National Congress of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST) in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on May 28 when he delivered an "important speech". PBSC member and Secretary of the CCP CC Secretariat Wang Huning inaugurated the third plenary session of the Tenth National Congress of CAST on May 29 and on behalf of the Party Central Committee, delivered a speech entitled "Scientific and Technological Workers Should Be the Pioneers of Scientific and Technological Self-reliance".
