CHINA-PLA: PLA XINJIANG MILITARY REGION'S TACHENG MILITARY SUB-DISTRICT HOLDS LIVE-FIRE ARTILLERY EXERCISES IN JUNE

The US-based Duowei news portal reported (June 4) that the Xinjiang Military Region has recently launched live ammunition exercises. It said the latest news from military sources indicates that the heavy artillery squad of a certain regiment of the Xinjiang Military Region has launched live ammunition training. According to China's state media CCTV Military (June 3) a border defense regiment in the Tacheng Military Sub-district of the Xinjiang Military Region moved more than 100 kilometres to get heavy "firearms" (Artillery)  squads from more than ten companies of the regiment to the field for live-fire training. Anti-tank rockets and grenade launchers opened fire one after another. According to the picture released by CCTV, the anti-tank rocket squad went out to occupy the launch position, completed the bazooka erection, loaded ammunition, measured wind speed, and aimed at the target within the specified time, and then carried out strikes against targets 300 meters away; grenade launchers were separately used. It achieved precise shooting at 200 meters and 400 meters.
