CHINA-CCP: 300 MARXIST SCHOLARS ATTEND PEKING UNIVERSITY'S 2-DAY 'HYBRID' CONFERENCE ON MARXISM

China Daily reported that nearly 300 Marxist scholars from home and abroad attended the opening ceremony of the 2-day Third World Congress on Marxism on July 18, which was held both online and offline by Peking University in Beijing. Themed "Marxism and Modernization," the two-day event features 10 thematic forums, four high-level dialogues and three special seminars. Over 60 international scholars from more than 20 countries including the United States, Britain, France, Russia, Japan and India are to make online presentations. Qiu Shuiping, Peking University's Party chief said "We are committed to promoting dialogue and exchanges between Chinese and foreign Marxist academic circles, hoping to expand the global influence of Marxism and enhance the vitality of Marxism through the event." The World Congress on Marxism was inaugurated by Peking University in 2015.
