CHINA-US: CHINA SANCTIONS SEVEN U.S. NATIONALS

A week before US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman's arrival in Tianjin, China on July 23 released its list of US officials it has sanctioned in response the sanctions imposed by the US. The list includes: Former U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross; U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission Chairperson Carolyn Bartholomew; Former Congressional-Executive Commission on China staff director Jonathan Stivers; National Democratic Institute's DoYun Kim ; International Republican Institute Associate Director Adam King; Human Rights Watch China Director Sophie Richardson ; and Hong Kong Democracy Council (founder and managing director Samuel Chu already has an arrest warrant under Hong Kong's NSL).
