Xinhua (September 21) disclosed that the CCP CC's General Office had recently issued the "Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of Marxist Colleges in the New Era" and issued a notice requesting all regions and departments to conscientiously implement them in light of actual conditions. The "Opinions" pointed out that "Marxism is the fundamental guiding ideology for our party and the country and the School of Marxism is the main front for studying, researching and propagating Marxism, the ideological and political theory class is the School of Marxism insisting on casting the soul with Xi Jinping’s thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era". It said "construction of the Marxist Academy is an important measure to deepen the theoretical research and construction of Marxism. It is an inherent requirement for cultivating newcomers in the era of national rejuvenation". The "Opinions" pointed out that "since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, all relevant departments and units in various regions have implemented the requirements of the Party Central Committee, promoted the construction of Marxist Colleges and made great progress", but "the School of Marxism still has gaps in education and teaching, research and publicity, team building, and personnel training". It insisted "that in order to strengthen the construction of the School of Marxism in the new era, we must adhere to the guidance of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thinking of the "Three Represents", the scientific outlook on development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era". It highlighted the advantages of Marxism and said it is necessary to "Strive to build a team of high-quality teachers with firm beliefs, solid theoretical foundations, sufficient numbers, and optimized structure to effectively enhance the sense of mission, identity, and acquisition. Improve the quality of professional talent training, and continuously cultivate reserve talents for Marxist theory". The goal is to cultivate "teachers who truly understand and use Marxism". It stressed the importance of effectively strengthening "the party's leadership over the construction of the Marxist Academy. Party committees at all levels should put the construction of Marxist colleges in an important position and strengthen leadership and overall planning. Propaganda, education and other departments should provide strong policy guidance, organizational guarantees, and financial support for the construction of the Marxist Academy". It stated that "The construction of the Marxist College is listed as an important content of the party's work assessment and school quality evaluation of the unit, as an important reference for the comprehensive assessment and evaluation of the leadership of the unit, the main leaders and the leaders in charge, and promote the establishment of a strong Marxist college".
