Xinhua (December 14) reported that Chinese President Xi Jinping addressed and delivered important speeches at the opening sessions of the 11th National Congress of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the 10th National Congress of the Chinese Writers Association in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on December 14. The speech contained two mentions of Mao Zedong.
The Beijing Daily (December 14) front-paged an article by the former Deputy Director of the Party History Research Office of the CCP CC highlighting veteran CCP leader Hu Qiaomu's "important" contributions to the drafting of the First and Second Resolutions on Party History.
