CHINA-TAIWAN: TSAI ING-WEN ISSUES STATEMENT AFFIRMING TAIWAN WILL JOIN INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY'S ECONOMIC SANCTIONS AGAINST RUSSIA
In a statement on February 25, 2022, Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen issued a statement which
"strongly condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine" and said Taiwan is also joining the
international economic sanctions against Russia. She also said that the situation concerning
Taiwan is different from that of Ukraine.
