CHINA-LEADERSHIP: CHINESE PRESIDENT XI JINPING LIKELY TO MEET GLOBAL CHIEF EXECUTIVES IN BEIJING ON MARCH 28

Financial Times (March 17) reported that China is preparing for a meeting between Xi Jinping
and global executives on March 28. About 72 global corporate executives are likely to attend
the forum including Stephen Schwarzman of Blackstone Group, Albert Bourla of Pfizer,
Cristiano Amon of Qualcomm, Ivan Greenberg of Chubb, Amin Nasser of Saudi Aramco,
Masahiro Kihara of Mizuho Financial Group, Bill Winters of Standard Chartered Bank, Patrick
Poujanni of Total and Vincent Clairque of Maersk. Citadel founder Ken Griffin and HSBC's
new CEO George Elkhedri are also likely to attend. The meeting with Xi Jinping is likely to
be held after the China Development Forum on March 23-24.
ii) The China Daily (March 21) said compared to previous years, a higher proportion of
European CEOs are represented at the event, which is scheduled to take place on March 23-24
at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing this year.
